IMPORTANT UPDATE


Dear Valued Patient,


Starting on January 1, 2025, Dr. Engelhardt will no longer accept health insurance as payment. He will be going to cash only. He will only be seeing patients on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.


The fee for an adjustment will be $55 ($65 with one therapy, $75 with two therapies). Payment will be due at the time of service by cash, check or credit card. We will be happy to provide a detailed receipt which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Your insurance company will send a check directly to you for what is covered by your plan.


What does this mean for you?


•  Our flat fees are comparable to your deductibles and copays you already pay. With most patients having high deductibles and high copays our fee for treatment is usually comparable to what you already are paying while using your insurance.

•  You’re more likely to get the full benefits of your policy if you file your own claims.


We understand that changes like this can raise concerns. Please rest assured that this transition does not affect your access to quality care. With this change we also welcome a new chiropractor to our practice, Dr. Brendan Geist. Both Dr. Geist and Dr. Crites will continue accepting and billing insurance as usual. If you prefer to have our office bill your insurance as you have in the past, you are welcome to schedule your appointments with them.

Introducing Dr. Brendan Geist, D.C.

Dr. Brendan Geist, DC, is a newly licensed chiropractor certified by the National and Ohio State Chiropractic Boards and will begin serving at Oak Hills Back and Neck Care Center beginning December 1st. Dr. Geist received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree Magna cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He also completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Allied Health from Cedarville University in addition to minoring in General Psychology, Public Health Psychology and Bible.

He also holds a certificate in Sacro-Occipital Technique.


A note from Dr. Geist 


My passion for treatment includes sports injuries, disc related injuries, family care, preventative care, and wellness. I am looking forward to applying my training in Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, SOT and several other techniques to help my patients achieve their health goals.


I believe in a holistic approach to healthcare; emphasizing the importance of treating the whole person rather than just addressing symptoms. My aim is to empower patients with the knowledge and tools they need for long-term health and well-being.


I grew up in Cincinnati and am excited to return to provide excellent care in the city! In my free time I enjoy hiking, playing sports, reading and spending time with my wife, Maegan, all of which helps me stay balanced and inspired.
